Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports journey at age fourteen. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling and BJJ before making her amateur debut at age 18, at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to continue building upon her triumph at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She knocked out all her opponents in the first round. She then returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 before taking on Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia beat Aspen to defeat her in a unanimous decision, putting the mark of a loss on Aspen's records for amateur. Ladd rebounded from her loss and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to improve her record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her first professional bout. She was a rout of Ana Carolina Vidal, securing the 1st-round TKO. Her next bout was a win in the ring against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission, and then moved up to bantamweight to fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen's superior wrestling skill defeated McGill as she was able to stop her third round via TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then faced Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to gain weight. Aspen still dominated Hoy and was able to knock her out in the 2nd round via TKO. At Invicta FC21, she was the last match in the organization. Invicta FC21, she defeated Sijara Banks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO in the second round. Her dominance grew and she got a bigger win in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the initial round, she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Her first major fight came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters put on an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and each fighter receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her winning streak. After a short break, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. She took on Norma Dumont as a substitute during her final fight against the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority verdict.
