Allison Pregler reviews Z-grade films generally horror or martial arts. She is similar the character of The Cinema Snob in that she likes action-oriented films that are dumb. The reviewer began her journey in 2009 and gained some respect on their forums, under her previous username Obscurus lupa. In 2010 she joined the Channel Awesome Family. She was on the website until the beginning of 2015 when the channel Obscurus Lupa Presents was revamped to Movie Nights. She also currently runs two podcasts through her channel that both cover the Charmed series and co-hosted together with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. Her appearances in Midnight Screenings were usually reviews of shite films for children or RiffTrax however, she also appeared in some adult-oriented comedy. The first time she reviewed a film was the middle of 2009. Her name gained lots in popularity thanks to the Channel Awesome forum before becoming part of their family. Her appearances have included a variety in Channel Awesome, from Atop the Fourth Wall up to Phelous & the Movies. She along with Doug Walker were once members of Channel Awesome. They would often appear on episodes of Nostalgia Critic.
