Akerman is famous for her role in the Watchmen's Laurie Jupiter/Silk Spectre 2. She played Laurie Jupiter. In addition, she played the character on the Lara Axelrod notorious television series Billions. She is also notable for having appeared in naked scenes of the movies Guardians and Deplorability Youthster. Akerman began her career as a model before transitioning to acting, and she has appeared in a wide range of TV and film productions. The most well-known of her roles are Silk Spectre II (in the movie adaptation of Watchmen) as well as Lara Axelrod (in the television show Billions).
